Thermafoil® TIM Thermal Interface Materials from EGC Enterprises
The most cost-effective solution to tough thermal management problems.

[Thermafoil® TIM Test Comparisons]

Isotropic materials such as "conductor filled" silicone, acrylic and thermally conductive greases channel heat. This channeling effect leads to increased temperature variation across the heat source, and increases the potential to have localized hot spots. The temperature variation greatly reduces the effective heat transfer area.

Using a standard microprocessor, EGC has conducted numerous tests of various thermal transfer products. In conditions with the heat source both at idle and under load, the comparison in delta T confirms Thermafoil® TIM provides exceptional heat transfer under very low loads.

Testing various materials in a Pentium III® processor, operating under the extreme load of an intense graphics game program, again illustrates the exceptional thermal properties of the 5 mil Thermafoil® TIM when compared to the most costly heat transfer materials available.
