Designed as a bonnet gasket, the EGC Pressure-Seal requires a significantly lower load than its metal counterpart, while providing you with a significantly higher rate of sealability. It is a composite design with Grafoil(r) and stainless steel. The steel provides strength and anti-extrusion capability, and the Grafoil conforms to irregular sealing surfaces...even in the tiniest cavity. The Pressure-Seal costs less than silver plated metal seals and it comes out of the stuffing box as easy as it goes in. So, compared to metal seals, you can literally save hundreds of man hours during change-out. That means a big savings and a great value.

The Pressure-Seal has been tested and approved by several valve manufacturers and after market customers. It is also currently in use at a Southwest nuclear facility and is reported as saving hundreds of man hours during outages.
